  1. 1) A person of the same class cannot enter the class instance (belonging to someone else) if they have already completed it. 2) Inability to join as spectator for party cut scenes while aboard their ship or while they use a holo-communicator in the open world. 3) The lack of the KOTOR side games (pazzak, swoop, gambling) 4) Inability to change sides (but I recognize why) 5) Space travel. I expected it to be more along the lines of how eve is set up. 6) Consistent extra maintenance. This debate rages on. For those few points my list of reasons why I like it is much much longer. If it wasn't I wouldn't be a subscriber.
  2. Personally I think the reason other FTP games have been successful is for the other than main story content. Its been my experience with this game that more people are only here to see the main story and don't really care a super lot about pvp, raiding and such. I think were going to see an overall loss of subs (my guess is between 30-40% since the last meeting) a rather large temporary increase in players. I think most will play the stories and leave. But making 2 million players? Yeah I can see that early on. Just not as subscribers.
  3. Perhaps this comment is more for the suggestion forum, and if this is already implemented I apologize since I have not yet participated in the rated war zones. But perhaps a team score system like that used in SC2's rated matches would help with this. assigning points based on individual win/loss to create a team score. So if your "team" is miles better than everyone else, your que would be long initially. this could give lower point teams matches to catch up to the high skilled guilds.

  5. Personally I want to see an obvious advantage of the subbers vs the non subbers. This gives the free players a reason to sub. Granted there is a fine line. But with just enough of an edge to give the free players hope they will be left craving more, then sub.
  6. To me this FTP model looks more along the lines of a good old fashioned demo. About the only thing you get full access to is the storyline of the original 8 classes. So if you think of it this way, it's not anymore P2W that it was to buy the old games after reaching the end of the demo.
  7. This made me laugh so hard. By the time I was 14 I had 4x the gaming experience in general. I started so young I only remember being a kid playing on my trash 80 and my 2600. Sir, my advice is that even though you are entitled to your options when you critique thing do make sure you have sufficient experience. 2 years to the gaming industry as a whole is far from enough. Your age combined with lack of experience only makes people not listen to you. I suggest when a game begins to bore you and you choose to quit, Submit some feed back directly and continue your search for the next thing. The method you chose to use OP was not the best, as I'm sure you see that now. Get some PC gamers, spend some time on G4's website, 1up.com, IGN and such. Get some experience reading reviews. There are constructive ways to suggest things and then there's just complaining, which no one reads seriously.
  8. I tried this a while back. I didn't have any success. But as I said that was some time ago. I would be interested to see if anyone has had success as well.
  9. SC2 / DCUO. Too late to go outside and there's nothing good on tv. But sometimes I just go to bed.
  10. Three times a week is a bit much. Im glad your working on it but at least you moved the time a little.
  11. This, or add new skills that require other weapons so your not out those light saber required skills.
  12. Vanilla AV was truly epic. I remember matches before any cross server stuff. The que to get in was usually an hour (single server too). But this didn't matter as the matches lasted something like 12-16 hours on average. Just as soon as you thought you had the match won the other faction would manage to summon a guardian or something and spank you back to the middle. I remember one lasting something like 40 hours before the boss was killed. Truly an epic battle that lived up to being a war zone.
  13. I just thought that a subscribed thread button would be handy. It could be placed at the top of all the forum pages or next to your username in the upper right corner. With one click you could see a list of all your subscribed threads making them easier to find rather than sift though pages of threads.
  14. Interestingly, I was trying to find where BW endorsed the use of Macro HW and found this Basically, even though they endorse Hardware, it is not allowed to be used with the game.
  15. See it is my understanding that at this time they are not in support of Macro's in game. But at the same time they can't prevent you from using them. But you are right, If it its BW's stance that they want you to use macro devices, then yes its not cheating. Given that the game is not built with macro capability it makes sense to me that the developers did not intend this game be played with helping hands. Simply that it makes better business sense to say "go ahead" instead of telling customers what hardware they can use. As they simply cannot control that. All they can do is infer that its not aligned with the spirit of the game. That's just my 2 cents. If I am wrong and missed where BW actively encouraged HW based Macro's in lieu of software based then I do apologize for being misinformed. If one day BW introduces a macro system then that will be just fine. For now however, it is still my opinion that I like the game just fine driving the manual.
