    Powertechs

ZOMG NERF POWATECHS NAO! This is just proof that Powatechs are OPd, better get out the nerf bat!
  3. This is what I find as well. I am almost always force choked AFTER my bar hits white and I've gone through mutliple stuns. Likewise, I haven't seen anything recently in this thread about pulls. Resolve seems to randomly affect pulls. I can be pulled through a full resolve bar, or my resolve bar draining. Which, I can also on occasion do that to my target. It seems to me that it's random. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't, which i don't think was intended.
  4. Says it all. Would be nice if I could move the resolve bar of myself, and my target to a more friendly place than above my head. Ideally, I would like it just under the cast bar where my targets profile is. Something to chew on.

    Trophy Stealing

Seriously? Is this what the game is starting to become? Trophy stealing? Are you for real? IF you are in a warzone and you're thinking about how many trophies and medals, and what types, you can get, then you should just uninstall and never play the game again. Or at the very least, do everyone on your server a favor and just not que up. Has to be the most absurd thing I have ever read.

    Asassin/shadow =Broken

Uh, every 6 to 8 seconds? Are you sure... ? So that means you crit on every force attack in between the time you hit tele throw for harnassed shadows until the next time you hit tele throw for harnassed shadows. Which also, has a 6s CD. AND, never run out of force while doing that. I find that hard to believe. And it's not 3k, it's 12% of your HP. Force shroud/resiliance is what, 5 seconds? That's too long? really? Massive shield? If The sintanks you are talking about are running in DPS gear (which they aren't btw, they are running in tank gear with various DPS mods from both stalker sets and other gear sets), then they are more than likely also using a focus gen and not a shield gen. 250k dmg done in warzones is nothing really. Please man, no offense, but at least wait until you are rational and not raging before you post.
  7. Thanks Phobia, that's what I was hoping someone would post. Appreciate it.
  8. Right on, just wanted to make sure before i go spending a ton of money to change things out. I figured as much, and since the WH armor looks like shat, I just want to transfer the armoring into my BM stuff (which is orange).
  9. Wonder if anyone has taken new WH pieces apart and put the armoring/mods/etc into augmented BM gear and retained the set bonuses? I know they transfer over WH to WH aug. gear. Put i haven't seen anything about putting them on BM augmented gear. Anyone try this yet?
  10. You had me going until here. WOW was NOT the game changer for PvP. DOAC, SWG, hell even WH all had better PvP than wow. As far as PvPvE, no no and more no.
  11. I don't think most of these people even know that it's not about putting on "DPS" gear. It's about moving mods in and out of "Tank" gear so that you get the benefit of +5% bonus dmg when guarding + the benefit of however you have modded that armor set. Which, btw, ANY Class can accomplish this, including tank specced guardians and tank specced vanguards. It's not as simple as "tanksins put on dps gear and are still tanks and dps."
  12. LOl that's what I thought when i read that as well.
  13. That 4.7k crit doesn't happen from any other attack. You're using her assassinate skill as the basis for your argument, yet that's a specialized skill that can only be used when the target is under 30% max health. Not sure about when specced full infil, but full tank or hybrid tank, you'll crit around 3500-4100 on a project WHEN all CDs are in your favor AND depending on the target. Plus, after watching her video, she's throwing out tons of fluff dmg, has pocket heals and multiple people around her on most of her targets.
  14. There's a lot of "fluff" dps with tanksins that people just don't get. I've put up those numbers plenty of times, but mostly that's due to force in balance or if specced 31, slow time + force technique. If all things are in my favor (cds, lack of cds for the target, etc) I put out about 300k on average in a normal war zone, and 400k + in an extended war zone (1st door vs. 1st door in voidstar, long sustained mid fight in alderaan, etc). But of that 400k +, probably 25% of it is just fluff dps where force in bal or force tech just provide a boost to the numbers as opposed to making any real difference in terms of eliminating a target. The reality is people see numbers consistently from certain players with certain classes and immediately yell OP. But, when you do some further research you find out some basic truths about the classes the open your eyes a little more. Protection numbers are the same thing. You get protection for dropping your taunts, so taunts + guard (if you are actively guarding) lead to big numbers IF and only IF the person you are guarding is a high value target AND IF and only IF you have someone healing you through the guard dmg. As a 27/0/14 shadow, I've only had a couple matches where i put up 100k + in protection. I think it's about 3 in total, and I had a pocket healer for 2 of them while i was guarding a different healer. I also lost DPS in those matches because the enemy team was so focused on my guard, that I had to keep within 10m of him, not allowing me the freedom of movement that I normally have. Normally, passive guard + taunts nets me about 50k in protection and just taunts alone will net me about 20k or so, depending. At the end of the day, numbers don't tell the story in OBJECTIVE based war zones though. I've been apart of plenty of high dmg output war zones where we lost, and low dmg output war zones where we won. You can't judge a class on the numbers because every scenario in every war zone is different.
  15. I'm not wrong, thanks. Look man, I'm not saying it never happens. Because it does. But honestly, it's a game. If you can't handle losing on occasion, then **** and go play U-14 soccer so you can get a participation ribbon at the end of every season. I mean seriously.
  16. Except as the premade, the responsibility is on you to communicate your strat to the rest of the group in the 1:30 you have before the match starts. It's not hard. And no one can read minds. I run in a premade mostly. Although I do enjoy pugging it since that gives me the ability to try out new things and to see how far I can push my AC loadout. But, when our premade runs, we direct traffic. If we have 4 or 5 pugs with us, we set them up on a course of action. Sometimes, one or two of us will send them a tell after the match, if they made some blatent mistake, and talk to them about it giving that person a chance to learn something as opposed to being called a baddie over and over again. If we have another premade with us, we debate who is doing what in the time we have before the match starts. There's a full minute or longer before every match. Communication is not a difficult concept. The true baddies in this game don't say a word about what they are trying to accomplish, do their thing, and if things don't work out, rage rage rage, blame everyone else and quit out. So be it, don't need those types of players in the group in the first place.
  17. I agree and disagree with you a little here. One of the biggest problems I see (I play 27/0/14 shadow) is that when i am actively guarding (meaning staying within 10 meters of my guard) and detaunting, most players continue to bang away at the person I am guarding, which inflates my protection numbers. Rarely do i see players turn and start banging on me instead, or at least, passively get me down to 50-60% health via banging on the guard, then turning to finish me off BEFORE they try and take down the healer who i am guarding. Part of that problem is that all buffs and debuffs are clustered randomly on one bar, so people either don't recognize when they have been detaunted or just don't know what that icon looks like. Part of the problem is that too many players believe that they should just kill someone if they beat on them long enough. Part of the problem is that many, many players let shadow/sin tanks run around un-checked because they are so focused on healers, they lose sight of other classes that help to mitigate the dmg to a healer. Even though taking down a healer first has always been the best way to go about winning any given engagement, sometimes it pays to search out and take down the support classes that make the original goal impossible. Every class has so many tools to give themselves windows of opportunity, and most are just ignored. So many people want to just stun lock the primary target, then once they do that, and the primary target is still alive and kicking, they have no clue what to do next. PvP in this game, since day 1, has been much more about playing smart than playing hard. But people still have yet to grasp that concept. It's a shame really, cause it leads to what we have now. Lots of QQ about op'd classes, constant nerfs, etc.
  18. I just might quote your entire post for my sig.
  19. No offense to you, but judging from that video the tanksin is pretty average at best. I'd like to know his build cause he doesn't seem to have a good understanding of his skillset.
  20. Which, is exactly my point. You say "see, see this happens all the time!!!!" when you should be saying "***?? I expect MORE from a major gaming studio." By typing this out, you give Bioware, and every other studio you have bought a game from, a built in excuse to provide shoddy work and a sub-optimal product. If more people stopped making excuses for these companies, and started questioning *** is going on, things would change. -- I want the game to succeed on so many levels. I'm tired of the sword and sorcerer BS genre. My fondest memories of gaming are from the Star Wars Universe in SWG. So, make no mistake, I WANT this game to succeed. But that doesn't stop me from looking at the reality of the situation. And the reality is that these are professional develops and gaming people. And mistakes like today's just shouldn't happen, period, end of story. If these people walked into my office they would expect a high level of professionalism and quality in the work I do, based off the name of the company I work for and the title of my position within said company. So why don't we expect the same thing from them? Bioware isn't a new, or indie, studio. They have no excuse. We are the consumers. When we purchase a product or service, we expect that product or service to deliver on its goal. TOR at this point has failed to deliver in spectacular fashion.
  21. Except the op is 100% correct. You're simply making excuses. Quit apologizing. This is 2012. There has been hundreds of titles released in the past 10 years that they could gleam knowledge from. What was ok 5-10 years ago is not ok now. And no amount of anything should provide an excuse for a mistake this large, this early. Stop making excuses for a professional gaming studio filled with professional programers, project mgrs, etc. These people are PROFESSIONALS. They do this for a living. This is inexcusable. Bugs are bugs and they happen. This isn't a bug.
  22. How's that working out for you today?
