  1. I must say I was enjoying soloing with my companion. I did not find it to be over-powered in any way shape or for. What I fear now is that, due to the fact my companions are low level, I will not be able to have as much fun with them as I did before. The level difference obviously makes a very big difference so, I ask this, if people say their companion makes things too easy, why not just not level it as high? Use a low level one for your questing and heroics and level the ones you wish to be high. There are plenty enough to be had, do they all have to be maxed? Why not have a slider effect on the companion and allow the player choose how gifted they want and or need their companion to be, depending on how they like to play. That way everyone wins. Why make a casual player suffer for the play style of a few? If it is such a torment for some players to have higher level companions, they can always put them away? In the end, a casual player will not be able to level their companions as fast as a more obsessive player, therefore their companions will always be too low. Surely, the companions were there for casual or solo players to enjoy parts others can without them.
  2. I think the biggest problem here is the fact that metrics and maths do not equate to emotion. People generally play these games for pleasure, they gain pleasure from rewards, accomplishments and a feeling of being greater than themselves, even if it is via 1s and 0s. People want to feel special and important in an uncaring world. When a person loses the method by which they fulfill one of their needs for pleasure they feel rejected, robbed and despondent. To a player their wonderful gifts as a superhero makes them feel special so, when via mathematics the game is altered and their gifts are neutered they do not feel the same reward as they did before, it loses it's magic. As a Sorcerer/Consular the fact one could stun a large group of megre guys gave a feeling of importance...I hate to use the word power so I say giftedness. I can say the same for skills like Orbital Strike or and hefty AOE or DOT or slash or gash, it's a sense of sticking it to the man by setting him on fire, of being able to say yeah I am someone who can affect the world substantially, for good or evil or just for myself. Reality is sometimes ******, to a lot of people it's really ******, they play games to escape that, they play games to feel as though they can have some control over things, maths can't equate that. So my point is, stop nerfing the skills and allow people to feel special for a few hours. The constant alteration of the skills seems to be making people feel abused, the same way they are abused in real life. Give people back their gifts, let them slice through a few robots or a boar, how does it hurt anyone else? If one class' skill isn't equal to another, then increase their damage, don't castrate the other I.E. Stop robbing Peter to pay Paul. Just pay Paul more. Players are people, not equations. Think on it
  3. Could it be that it was this server that was slashed and recreated after the failed effort of creating an Oceanic server. Is it the fact everything was re-integrated poorly? I think it may be time to create a fresh server with accounts you have there now and give us a fighting chance of playing a decent game, without the tiresome glitches we have suffered quietly with since we stated on the server near 3 years ago.
  4. I see absolutely no reason why there has to be any upper limit at all on the quantity of toons. When one considers that the vast majority of players will have only a few alts at most, if there is space for ALL players on a server to have 22 and only a few use that many, then why not let them have more if they want them. The space is not being used so why not use it? Especially since they charge a player to use the slot, what difference does it make if it goes to a single player with 23 alts rather than 23 people with no alt?
  5. All I want to see is equality for all players. Why is it a large section of the community is constantly left out just to appease the load and obnoxious segments who constantly demand more for themselves, while demanding others be forgot. I would love if EA will be honest with us and just admit they lied to their players and will never introduce real SSRs and not just slap in a bit here and there, while pretending more will be done. Surely there are enough raids and operations, surely there is enough PVP, surely it is time the gay players are recognised and appreciated in the same way all other players are. This may seem nothing to everyone else but, to the gay people out there it means yet another part of their lives is second class. It sends a message to the public that gay people do not matter as much as other citizens and it helps perpetuate this fallacy, giving others license to treat gay people as lesser people. Will we get the truth EA
  6. Looking at the new update I got very excited when I read you had obtained all companion actors so as to record the exciting chatter of space battle. I understand one problem with recording SGRs was the fact you could not obtain all the actors again to do so. Now that you have done so, did you use this time to record SGRs, you know those things you promised 2 years, or so,ago now? All you'd have to do is use the phrases you must have written back then (since you promised it was done) and added them to the scripts. It seems logical and reasonable to me but, as I can not find anything written about this, I am presuming that you did not, Why?
  7. Why is it so many people are afraid of choice? All we players want is to have the choices that everyone else has. If you find yourself fearful, hateful or confused perhaps there is something in real life you might need to take stock of. I fail to see how [flirt] draws such torment in people. I have been playing this game for over a year now. I see the option to flirt there every time I play. I choose not to flirt because I have no interest in it, while other players have interest in it can choose to try. I can assure everyone I did not go straight, even though straight has been pushed down my throat all year so. I can see no logic in any other player fear they will become gay. We are NOT a small minority and just because you may be a majority does not make your choices the right ones, be grateful you have them...we don't. We are however freethinkers, try it sometime, your life may well be far more fruitful when you are not afraid of the world and able to make decisions based on logic and not emotion.
  8. I read here many complaints from people expressing their concern about the company "wasting" time on this matter as they feel the playability of the game needs to be attended to ahead of SGRs. What you don't seem to realise, or simply don't care about, is the fact that, for many players, the game has been incomplete from the start. Not everyone can enjoy the storyline or features that straight people have on offer. Not everyone can flirt with their companions, not everyone can have a companion partner. Why do you believe everyone should not have the chance to appreciate the full game as you do? How does this affect your game? Are you really of such weak character, that you will go against your own nature and be seduced into a gay relationship? Do you really need a game to tell you how to live your life? Do you, perhaps need to detach yourself somewhat from the game, if you take it so very seriously.....remember it is a game, not YOUR life. I think it is time that some players take responsibility for their own choices and their own games and stop trying to prevent other adults from choosing to play the game that they feel most comfortable playing, while getting as much enjoyment as everyone else from it.
  9. So, it has been some time but, we still do not have any response or action on the matter. I guess it would be quite simple to change the companion's crits or skill bonuses and it'd make life as a Sage artificer a lot more efficient and easier. They deserve the same possibilities as all other classes with crafting and, as artifice is such a limited skill, the benefits are more than deserved. Please Bioware can you look into this problem, many artificer Sages would be very garateful.
  10. Very true, but it'd still be great that we have a companion with skills that mean something. I would consider every other class has the privilage and it would certainly help in the leveling of the skill.
  11. I concur fully. Open the game to the rainbow of fruit flavours that iare the emotions of love and lust. Free love for all!!
  12. It would be great if Consualrs had a companion that could actually assist them in making artifice. At this time we have bonuses in every other skill, including weaponsmithing with Iresso (which we have absolutely no use for) but no bonuses for artifice, which we have every use for. This makes it very hard to make crit hilts, crystals and blades. So, how about altering Iresso to being useful.....at all.
  13. I concur fully on this matter. I know for myself and everyone I speak to there is always a complaint that we have to continually try to find a quest to delete just to pick up a dailiy. It is great that we have so many quests but, due to the fact that so many are now weekly or daily we really need a LOT more spaces. I have not been able to fit space quests on for months..
  14. I am wondering about the lack of ability to gather schematics via Archaeology nor Treasure Hunting in the same way the other professions can. I would very much appreciate the ability to find some schematics to work with and the possibility to find rarer ones. Secondly, The Jedi Consular has no companion with a bonus for Artifice. Strangely Zenith has a bonus to Armstech, a skill a consular has absolutely no need for. I would very much hope these two concerns can be looked into. It will be of great benefit when 1.2 is released and the Artificers finally have schematics to use. Thank you for your hard work.
